  1. Yesterday I watched your vblog and wondered why you felt compelled to share that message and prayer about letting go of our worries?! Apparently He was preparing you too for difficult news. Amazing how that happens right? We will be praying for Cour

  2. Somehow I thought of Hillary and her "hard choices". What a joke. You could write a real book on that. Crying sometimes in life has helped me so much. Your cross is so heavy, here's praying that Our Lors helps you make it lighter.

  3. Tears and prayers offered up for you, Jerry, Jonathan and Courtney, my friend. May the Blessed Mother be with you in the days to come.

  4. You're amazing…all of you are just amazing……….
thank you, mary, for your candor. I can't tell you how I look forward to your posts bc I feel I know Court and all of you….With this post, I so feel your emotion. I feel like I was there with you at the doctor's office and in the garage lot. . Mary, thank you for sharing your family's journey and letting us be a part of the day to day.

I will continue to pray for you all – – – – and just know that you are an inspiration…I'm sure you don't think so and I don't think you want to be…but you are……..

Hugs to your sweet girl and to you all…
    "See" you soon…
    xoxo
    ~Chris

  5. Oh Mary! Your mama heart is so beautiful and I just can't even imagine… You're mom's words are so true – no can love Courtney like you and she is so very blessed to have you. As you are to have her. Thank you for sharing it all with us. Hugs to your beautiful family!

And isn't if funny that even as adults, sometimes we just need our moms 🙂

  6. Mary, I read this and began weeping. I really admire your ability to get through the meeting with her doctor, even to asking the right questions. You are so strong! When our son was dying I made my husband face the doctors alone- I was so terrified, in denial and frantically praying for a miracle. In other words, a mess. Again, your strength amazes me. Love the Jeremiah quote.

  7. Dear Mary, you had me both crying and laughing with you at the same time (laughing at the bib part!). It is such a privilege to share a bit of your life with Courtney through your blog. The quote is from Robert Louis Stevenson and the first part is even more wonderful than the bit you give us:
""Little do ye know your own blessedness; for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour."
And your mother is a living saint! How blessed you are to have her.
Sending much love and blessings to you all and praying for you. Perhaps Courtney may say a little prayer for me and my family in our present difficulties, sorry to put her to work again but she is a prayer warrior. Thank you.

  8. Connected in prayers. Crying and praying for hope in dispair and smiles and love always and in the dark days. May God bless you all.
