  1. Thank you for this. The theme of my Lent this year has been TRUST. And it is sooo hard! Getting a little late night inspiration to open my heart to God's Will, to say YES to whatever God has in store for us . . . well, that helps me fight the battle against fear just a little better.

I will continue to pray for your family as you all heal.

  2. Because of your "yes" 22 years ago, I have you as a friend who understands all the fun things us mamas of "special" kids face like ER visits, fighting with insurance/SSI, not having our kids hit milestones on time (or at all), and being up at odd hours taking care of them.

  3. One of the hardest trials in grieving your child will be how to learn to continue this earthly journey without Courtney. In your 'yes', our loving Father will show you the way to glory. It's not an easy path for sure, but healing waits to slowly transform what you had here together and your own heart & soul into something beautiful for eternity. Grief is holy ground – keep your eyes on the cross and know that love never dies…and let Love heal your broken heart.

  4. You are brave. You are stunning. And you are so very needed.
I know God will lead you to serve again and again.
I have been so blessed by your blog posts.
I need you. I've never been as strong as you.
    I NEED YOU!
You remind me that God is in control… and of so many other things.
    Hugs & Blessings from Texas.

  5. It's so good to hear how you are doing as you continue to carry this unimaginable cross! Many thoughts and prayers still coming your way! Your strength and courage continues to inspire! Looking forward to meeting you in real life in July at Edel and give you a real life hug!

  6. Thank you Mary for this reflection, it is so lovely to hear your voice again. I have found this Lent very difficult and just today I was thinking I should ask Courtney's assistance with my family problems.
I was delighted to hear about Jerry's permanent job too! Thankyou Jesus for that, Thankyou St Joseph, Thankyou Courtney!!
