  1. But you have such a way with words that you can make us laugh about it, even if you weren't! I will pray for you and your husband as you make this decision. God bless you all 🙂

    1. Thank you for your prayers Laura. We will need them all. I have learned if I don't laugh, then the ugly cry comes and that includes hiccups and snot which is highly unattractive, so I will pass on that today. LOL!

  2. Oh man! At least the story made a good blog post!! So sorry about the sopping wetness of the morning. Prayers for your discernment in the right treatment.

  3. You're a better woman than me. I'd have left the boot in the gutter and then spent the rest of the day in bed recovering from such a disaster. You're my mentor. Mary, our lady of extraordinary patience and good humor in the face near constant adversity 😀

    1. I thought about it Rachel but it's her only pair of black boots, so I decided I had to retrieve them. Thank you for your very kind words. I just try and survive each day with my sanity intact. I think I am losing the battle though. LOL!

  4. Actually, I also schedule appointments at 8:30 a.m. in the middle of rush hour. The drive sucks but it means that we don't have to wait in a waiting room with grumpy people.

  5. I second what Rachel said! You are amazing! And prayers forthcoming regarding the medical decisions. What a "Calgon, take me away" morning! (showing my age- you are no doubt too young to remember that!)

  6. Your daughter, my niece, has such a way of expressing herself! I love the mischief she tends to employ at the most trying of times. You tell a great story, I almost felt like I was experiencing the incident myself. Hugs and kisses all around. Maybe she prefers a brighter color for her rain boots. 🙂

  7. Oh what a morning you had Mary! I'm so glad you can laugh about it – and thanks for making me laugh too.

We too will be praying for you and your husband as you make the decisions that need to be made involving lovely Miss Courtney.

There are some really good deals on rain boots out there right now – who knew that spring was apparently the end of rain boot season?

    Hugs,
    Lea
