  1. Happy 4th to you and your beautiful family, Mary. As always, thank you for your gift of wisdom that you share with us, your readers. You may not get to be out and about, but you are by no means alone and are in our prayers daily. Blessings.

  3. I found your blog through A Mom's Life. I am SO GLAD I did. I am the oldest of 3 sisters and my middle sister was disabled for 26 years. You remind me so much of my WONDERFUL Mami. This particular post is very touching. We always said we had two different lives growing up; the one before my sister got sick and the one after. Frances, like Courtney, had a few years in which we were able to still go out as a family and be adventurous. But at some point that became too much for her and we rarely ever went out as a family of 5. I feel for you, for Courtney, your husband and your SON. It is such a tough battle and some days are easier than others. However, special children teach us SO MUCH about what life is really about! God Bless you!
