  1. Bless you for sharing. It wouldn't mean near as much if people didn't know about the uglies, too. And good for Jonathan–he's got it down. Prayers, Mary.

  2. You are not strong Mary. No one is in this type of situation…what you are is FAITHFUL. You are faithful to the vocation you have been called to and no one, including our Blessed Mother, ever ever said a vocation is easy…..Thank you for your role model of a good and faithful servant–flaws and all!!! God Bless.

  3. You will not be overcome!!! Take our prayers with you every minute of everyday… You love on that girl and rock and hug!!! Only God knows the time… You will hurt but He promises us that we wil not be overcome !! Just take it 15 minutes at a time!!! It's al we really have the strength for when we are struggling. Praying in Louisiana

  4. Please know prayers continue from here as well. As so many have already said, thank you for sharing your beautiful and honest journey of faith. You, Jerry, Jonathon, and of course Courtney have touched so many lives and you are all true evangelists. May all of our prayers surround you, lift you, and bring you much comfort in the days ahead. Grace and peace to you all.

  5. My prayers are with ALL of you. It is hard on the whole family and good that you recognize this. May God hold all of you in the hollow of his hand and bring peace to your hearts.

  6. As I looked at the pictures of a smiling Courtney, I was struck with the thought of what was she seeing that made her smile and without reading your post or seeing the painting, what popped into my head was, she is smiling because God is dancing in her mind – twirling and smiling and happy as He awaits her arrival. She is smiling because she knows she is loved by both her family here and in heaven – she is dancing in her mind, free of her chair and bed, free of her pain and problems, in her mind she joins Jesus in his dance of joy.

  7. Hugs and prayers!
I'm sure Georgetown has wonderful resources but if any of you ever want to run ideas or questions by Charlie please let me know. I'm know he would not mind and fortunately/unfortunately as a pediatric oncologist this is a topic he is very comfortable talking through.
