  1. I will definitely pray for you during Lent, and for your boys, too! May God bless you abundantly during this time. Yikes, it still seems intimidating to me!

  2. Wow, an extra week. Total dedication! Prayers and blessings for all three of you during Lent. See you at church. 😉

  3. I will miss you. I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago. I think I need to do the same thing for Lent…I am working up the courage to take the plunge!

  4. I'll miss you tons, Mary…. You know I'll be hear when you come back…praying for YOU and thank you for praying for me, for all of us.

  5. OH Mary! That sounds like a huge challenge and a good one at that! Will be praying for you during Lent and I'm really excited to hear when you learn when you get back.

    Hugs,
    Lea

  6. Will pray for you during this time and I believe this will be a great time of spiritual renewal for you. Looking inward is hard, but you will discover so much about yourself and you will emerge as a stronger person. Lots of hugs!!!

  7. Dear, Dear Mary, after your last post being "The Empty Room" this seems a good direction from your spiritual director. You are courageous to take it on. There is so much distraction from the silence in which God can speak to us. Be assured of my prayers for you every day of this desert path. And for dear Jerry and Jonathan. I am certain you will all be showered with blessings. Much love to you all and see you at Easter!

  8. Though I will miss your posts, I think your director's advice is brilliant, especially for a blogger. Painful but cleansing, bracing, and should lead to all kinds of insight and change…which you can then blog about! 🙂 But later of course. I'm trying to think of something like that I can give up for my own lent. Old resentments? Comparing fantasy to reality? I need a spiritual director.

  9. I have chills. What a challenge! But it makes perfect sense. I am eager to read about your Lenten journey. You and your men are in my prayers.

  10. You are amazing. You are inspiring. I know the Lord will take such good care of you in the desert. I can't wait to read your post on Easter. I will pray for you and your family.
    Love,
    Erin

  11. I didn't know you were doing this until today, but you've been on my heart all week so I just popped over here to see how you are. I'll keep you in my prayers, and I hope this Lent will be a very fruitful one for you and your relationship with Christ.
