  1. Dear Mary, so beautifully put, as ever. However much longer her journey is, we are all praying you through it and asking God's strength and Grace for all of you. Thank you for strengthening our faith by your witness (and Courtney's). I am already looking forward to her interceding for me and my family when her time comes. Love to you all, x

  2. Sending so much love. Lifting you up to our Blessed Mother who knows so well…and lifting up Courtney and the remainder of her days (on this side of eternity) for the great Glory of God. Thanks for continuing to bless us all by sharing her beautiful life!

  3. So much of this seems to be converging around the feasts of the Triumph of the Cross and Our Lady of Sorrows, and I think that is no accident because triumph He will, with Courtney at his side, doing her part. And you too. Many prayers for you all.

  4. Many many prayers as you navigate the remainder of your precious girl's time with you. Her spirit shines through even on the blog I can only imagine in person what a bright light she is.

  5. The power of a mother and father's love is so evident in your daughter. You have worked so hard to try to maintain as "normal" a life for her in spite of such difficult circumstances. You are an inspiration to me when I feel like life is tough.

I will join you in spirit next Friday night – I've marked my calendar – and pray for all of you. God bless.

  6. I think the grace you and your dear husband have received from our Heavenly family is that you have NO REGRETS…. The Lord allowed you all no stone unturned regarding her care… I fervently pray that these thoughts comfort you in the days ahead…. I'm sure Our Father will greet your sweet saint with open arms… Praying for her comfort and yours in the next coming months… And as everyone has stated prayers continue for your brave girl. To a mothers heart I say .. Well done good and faithful servant… You have taught us all how to serve with grace and dignity.. Thank you .

  7. Mary, You are an amazing channel of grace to Courtney and the world. If you had not loved her here then the world would not have had her light to shine. Know you are all in our prayers, and as you so aptly put God will not be outdone in generosity. I know that the Church Militant have garnered great graces and Courtney once her warrior days are over will be among the Church Triumphant. For that day, may you have some happiness that her pain is over and to behold the face of Christ in His Presence (I pray) will be a beautiful thought to console your splintered heart.

  8. As I was reading the devotion in the Novena to St. Joseph, I thought what it said about St. Joseph was also applicable to you and Jerry.

"Every moment of your life was consecrated to the service of our Lord: sleep, rest, work, pain. Faithful to your duties, you sacrificed everything unselfishly, even cheerfully."

You and Jerry have provided the world with a beautiful example of service to the Lord by your faithful care of Courtney. Continued prayers for peace, comfort, joy, and hope for you all.

  9. Practical question. What time zone are you in? If Friday evening, from 9-10 pm. is not middle of the nigth my place, I'll join in – else I'll take an hour at another time for Courtney and her family.

  10. Yes, your heart will break, and it will be put back together. Just because it will be put together differently, doesn't mean it won't be "right." Rare is the grown-up without a few cracks.

I like your title of this blog post. It's all anyone of us can do.

  11. No "sorries" only a humble "Thank you" for allowing all of us "stranger-friends" on the internet that have stumbled onto your blog for allowing us to see you and your as Grace in Action. You are not perfect, but the growth in faith, love and submitting to the will of God that you have put out there on display for all of us to see has made me a better person. So, Thank You and God Bless you, Miss Courtney, your beloved Husband, and, last but not least, Miss Courtney's heroic brother.
