What I Wore, Spring Edition!
What I wore…it’s spring!
Hello sweet readers…it’s time for another installment of what I wore. Today’s outfits are inspired by the beautiful Spring weather we have been having her in Northern Virginia. The flowers are all in bloom and the trees are pollenating like crazy. The daily temps are hanging in the high sixties to low eighties which means no more winter coats! Freedom!!
It is still chilly in the morning though so a cardigan is helpful. In this first outifit, I am wearing and Eloquii pencil skirt, a LuLaRoe tee and a Land’s End cardigan in navy blue. The ballet flats are JCrew from three seasons ago or so. I love those flats. So feminine. Each peace is quite versatile and comfortable so I have no doubt you will be seeing them again in the near future paired with other things. Their are two other details I have added, a bely and a lapel pin.
That’s right, I am actually wearing a belt to accentuate a newly found curve in my waist. One that has been hard earned through lots of sweat and cleaner eating. I pray I get to keep it with ice cream season upon us. We shall see.
Next up we have the outfit I wore to Holy Thursday this year. Yes, I know I look like an adult Easter Egg. Yes, I know that the front “wrap” could be a little more modest. Yes, I still wore it anyway. Because Triduum people!! It requires dressing like you care. And I do. A lot.
The dress and cardigan are from Land’s End. It’s cotton and machine washable. You will see me in it quite a bit as the weather gets warmer. I prefer dresses over shorts so here’s to having more than one use for a dress. Woohoo!! The ballet flats are from Talbot’s last fall I think. When I was still working for the church, I invested in several pairs of cute flats since 80% of my job was spent on my feet. I adore and comfy ballet flat y’all. Adore.them.
I have no idea what was going on with my hair that day. I mean helmet head comes to mind but whatevs. Jesus doesn’t care about my hair, just my heart.
So what are you wearing these days? Any pieces you’re excited about? Friends share so leave a comment.
