  1. I love your sense of style. I wish you could come help me with mine! You are also such a beautiful person inside and out 🙂

    1. Thanks Nell. I am typing this while wearing one of the most wonderful pairs of leggings ever made. So comfy and I can't thank you enough for making them with such love. HUgs friend <3

  2. I adore the print on that green dress!!! Maybe a scarf with it to hide the neckline once it's a little cooler out? I feel you on the upper arms, lady – I used to scoop ice cream in high school and my guns got HUGE!!! These days I pretend it's muscle but it's mostly just flab 😛

  3. All of the outfits look great! And you bring up a good point about not wearing baggy clothes to try and cover everything up. I find myself doing that too often.

  4. Awww Mary you put a smile on this Cajun momma's face!!! You look lovely in every outfit…you have so much courage and you use it to make those around you lighten up a bit!!! Bless you for your fun and love of life!!! The journey you are on isn't an easy one but your wonderful faith in Our Lord shines through in your every smile!!! Thank you for the cheerful post… Praying for you to feel a little bit more like smiling everyday!!

  5. I LOVE your humor on this post, Mary! I agree that it's so important to laugh at ourselves and make those waves of grief turn into something positive. I was JUST thinking this past weekend about how my arms look so huge, and yet – very similar to what you wrote – I carry our 30+ pound 2-year-old almost everywhere. Granted, that's not 100 pounds, but it's a lot for me!

  6. I love you! I gained 75 pounds with my last high risk/multiple hospitalization pregnancy and the weight is still here 7 months later. It's so discouraging. But I'm doing what you are doing. Dress happy! Celebrate every tiny victory. Love you!

  7. This. Post. Rocks.!!!!! I love that you can laugh at yourself and be lighthearted…we all need that in our lives! Love the pink pencil skirt…lovely!
I call my body "apple on two sticks", so loving cake pop and the East German Swimmer arms! You should have seen my ONE right scooping arm when I worked at Baskin Robins back in Highschool. I had serious strength…in one arm.

    Xoxo

  8. You always look great and do a great job of pulling off the patterns and colors. And the larger than average upper arms, I get you!

  9. I laughed out loud at the title of this- I was a competitive swimmer and I know all about not loving the arms. You do a really great job of looking snazzy. I say well done!

  10. Oh, Mary! I am laughing out loud at your word choice… Including the fact that you can use the phrase "on fleek" with more ease than I can (as a 20-something!). My issue is that I have calves that are about 2 sizes bigger than my waist. Thanks to walking 70+ steps multiple times a day for that! I love the colors and patterns you wear- the pants are awesome!

    Peace, Beth

  11. I have always loved your style, Mary!
I updated my recent blog post (red handbag) and made it as a link up… Link as many posts u want about your favorite accessories!

    Thanks!
