Raised a mighty warrior

My best friend and I have walked together as sisters for 19 years now, praying for one another and for each other’s kids. Today starts a new adventure, one filled with excitement and if I’m being honest, some concern, but also great pride and love.

Christine, you have raised a mighty warrior, a young man of faith, courage and strength. One who serves a mighty God and has answered the call to love his neighbor with his very life. I know that this is a proud day for you, asyou witness this new beginning for your first born. Know that I stand behind you, holding you steady in prayer and as always ready to support whenever needed.

Nicholas, you have chosen to serve the greater good. @grouchy_historian and I are so very proud of you and the choice you have made. You have worked darn hard, sacrificing much and now stand ready to put another’s life before your own as a sworn law enforcement officer. May St. Micheal cover you and protect you always as you stand at the ready to protect us.

God protect the thin Blue Line of the Fairfax County Police Department and ALL the brave men and women who choose to love by serving everyday of their lives. Oh how blessed we are to have you.
