pretty, happy, funny, real ~ 2014, vol.9
Happy Easter!!
I know I have said before but we are still in the Easter Octave so I will say it again and again.

If you have been checking in here these last few days you know we have been in a battle with insurance over Courtney’s AFO’s and her ONFI seizure meds. Well my friends, both have been resolved in our favor. They will be covered completely
Yep, you read that correctly.
After three appeals, piles of paperwork, consult with an attorney, and countless prayers and more than a little pacing back and forth from this Mama, God has chosen to make this happen. She was casted for her AFO’s on Monday and we picked up her seizure meds late last night.

Well I almost did it. I almost had the Pascha Cloth ready for Holy Saturday and the blessing of the baskets but alas, I did not finish in time. I am still working on this little gem.
I have decided it will be a gift for my BFF Christine who is of Croatian heritage and participates in the blessing every year. I know she will love it once I finish and add the lace border.
Then I will start on another one for me. Maybe with a lamb on it.

We brought home and Easter Candle from church on Sunday. I love having it here in the house. We will light a new candle from this one tomorrow so that we can keep the light of Easter present for a little while longer.
I'm so happy to hear that the insurance situation has been resolved in your favour.
I love your embroidery! It is beautiful.
Hurray! So glad the insurance mess has been sorted!!!
Also, that Paschal cloth is so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of being a little girl, and going with my sister and our friend and her mother, who was Polish, to the Polish church in town to get our bread and eggs blessed on Holy Saturday. Thank you for the beautiful memory! :' ) Now I'm thinking that next year I'll have to make myself one, since our church has just started this tradition…
That embroidery is just lovely! Well done! Happy Easter!
The embroidery is lovely. Is it an iron on or did you freehand? If you bought the pattern could you share the source?
