Happy 27th Courtney!

August 18 – She would have been 27 today. 

To mark this year, I wanted something special, so I reached out to my friend @heatherschiederillustrates_ to commission a one of a kind, a unique piece of art, something memorable and boy did she deliver. Thank you friend. This print means so much to me. More than you could possibly know.

Courtney Elizabeth, you changed me. From the moment I held you so close to my heart to the moment God asked me to let you go, life was an adventure. You challenged my idea of motherhood and made me see how important every single life is, no matter your abilities or disabilities. Every life has a mission and a purpose. No matter what! 

My sweet girl, you showed me the face of Christ every single day and you continue to reveal His heart to me, even from Heaven. I miss you so much that some days, my heart breaks under the strain of that grief, but I know we will hold each other again. By the grace of God alone .

Thank you for being you Court. For being a sassy little fire cracker keeping us on our toes. For being such a beautiful suffering servant for the Lord that drew so many to the Cross. For being my little girl who trusted me to take care of everything always. 

You are and will always remain, my sunshine ☀️ 

Happy Birthday Court. May heaven erupt with glad tidings and may you enjoy every bite of that chocolate pudding you loved so much. We will always remember sweet girl. Always.
