Episode 11: Chip and Joanna, watch out!
This week’s podcast is all about seasonal décor and the differing opinions and styles of Mary and Jerry. As the seasons wheeled by, Jerry and I have found ourselves tangoing in the annual dance of decor. I am the Picasso of autumnal hues, pushing for pumpkin-spice-everything in fall, and gingerbread-house-chic in winter, while Jerry, stoic advocate of rustic browns, stands by defensively clutching his reclaimed barnwood.
The Great Wallpaper War of 2010 has scarred Jerry for life. We have crossed paintbrushes over the kitchen refresh, Mary lobbying for lemon yellows and Jerry doggedly maintaining drab olive green was “the new black”. Somedays it’s like watching HGTV’s opposite day special, but rest assured, not a single plank of shiplap was harmed in their riotous redecoration rodeos.
I tend to make my fun personality translate into home design. But traffic orange shower curtains are not for everybody – specifically Jerry. In this episode of the Mary & Jerry podcast, we discuss how to make your house a home for both spouses. It’s an episode of fun banter and wisdom, as always. Enjoy!
