Encounter Grace ~ Rendezvous, Recognize and Reconnect: Remembering God’s Plan for Christian Sisterhood
Hey Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to share an upcoming event that I will be speaking at. “Encounter Grace” is an event created by my friend Laura Roland and her dear friend Penny. They felt called by the Holy Spirit to create a space where women could reconnect, renew and restore themselves and their relationships with God and one another.
Here is how Laura explains it:
Inspired by the relationship between Our Blessed Mother, Mary and her beloved cousin, Saint Elizabeth, ENCOUNTER GRACE is an organization dedicated to helping women build community, one grace-filled encounter at a time. Scripture tells us that Mary and Elizabeth shared a special bond, making the effort to stay connected despite being separated by miles, age and circumstance, all the while keeping Christ at the center of their relationship. And so with this relationship as our model, our mission is to create authentic, engaging opportunities where women can come together, encountering and witnessing each other’s stories, sharing this thing we call life, all while having a few laughs along the way.
Just as Mary and Elizabeth journeyed together, we hope that, no matter where you are on your own faith journey, you will find friendship and joy along the way with the women you encounter at one of our events.
Sounds amazing doesn’t it?
I had the great privelage of meeting Laura at the Edel Conference in 2017 in Austin, TX. She is a vibrant soul and has a heart for supporting and encouraging women, no matter their season or station in life. When she approached me to speak at the inaugural event, I was truly humbled. I am all about reconnection and encounter, especially among my Christian sisters. I had to say yes!
My keynote will be about reconnection. It’s called “Rendezvous, Recognize and Reconnect: Remembering God’s Plan for Christian Sisterhood”. I will offer advice and encouragement on how, despite the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, where we are constantly trying to meet the demands of our never ending “to do “ list, we can reconnect with Jesus, ourselves and our community, thus allowing us to build sustainable relationships filled with mercy and grace.
You guys I am so excited to share this event with you!! You can read all about it here. I hope you can join me in Waldorf, MD on Friday, November 9, 2018. You can purchase your tickets here…
It is always such a privilege for me to go out and speak to y’all and share a piece of my heart with you. I thank you for all your love and support over these past 11 years. Truly. You inspire me everyday.
Blessings,
Mary
