Courtney’s Prayer Stocking
Happy Advent my dear friends. Today begins four weeks of waiting in Hope for Love to arrive with the birth of Jesus. It’s a time to seek quiet, peaceful moments preparing our hearts to welcome the Messiah.Â
For me and my family it’s also a time to remember the life of our beautiful daughter Courtney as we gently walk toward her Heaven Homecoming day on December 27. This year we wanted to do something special to honor her memory. When I shared our stocking tradition with you all last week, an idea was born. We have been abundantly blessed by your support and prayers over the years, including those last few months of Courtney’s life. When discussing what to do as our prayer practice for Advent, Jerry and I decided to pray for you.Â
We would love to fill Courtney’s stocking with your prayer intentions. What do you need intercessory prayer for? How can we stand in the gap for you? Not only will we be praying for you but we will ask our beautiful St Courtney to intercede for you as well.
Jerry and I are honored to pray for you and your needs. So leave your request and we will put it in Courtney’s stocking then burn them on the Epiphany, as we have them in years past. The smoke rises like incense…prayer rising to heaven.Â
