a moment for some news…
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to slip in a quick update on some goings on.
First up, Patrick Wray, a wonderful singer and family friend will be playing this Saturday, March 22, 2014 at The Main Street Pub in Clifton, VA. His set will start around 9 p.m. He will be playing to raise money to fix “Big Bertha’s wheelchair lift so we are up and going once more. The van works great but the lift now needs repair. The lifting of Court in and out of the van is beginning to take it’s toll on our backs, so this repair has moved up to the top of the list.
If you can make it, you won’t be disappointed I promise. Patrick is awesome and these evenings are always so much fun. The burgers are fabulous, the beer is cold, and the tip jar needs to be filled. If you can’t make it but would like to help, feel free to use the PayPal button on the right side of the blog or at the bottom of this post. Love and thanks to all especially Patrick for offering up his time and talents for our Courtney. We are truly honored and blessed to have such wonderful friends who support us through all the highs and lows.
Second, I will be speaking on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Mission of King George, VA. My talk is called “Passionate Perseverance : Finding Joy in the Storm”. I will have Miss Courtney with me so if there are any local MD/VA peeps who want to come meet the rock star herself, Princess Courtney would love to meet you as well. This talk is free and I promise coffee and something sweet to munch on as well. I hope to see some of you awesome readers there.
Lastly, Miss Courtney has now been almost 48 hours seizure free. There is much rejoicing!!
if only i was in the md/va/dc area!
I wish you were closer too Jen! Say a prayer for me that day.
What time on Saturday will Patrick be playing?
Hey Melissa – He will be one at 9pm. He really is quite good. Hope you can make it. Have fun!!
Wish we were closer! Sounds like so much fun! I love Courtney's hair in the picture- she just looks sassy! Yay for seizure free!
Blessings Catherine and thanks!
I thought maybe I could come hear you but alas – it is almost two hours! And my daughter has a hockey game that day. Maybe another time.
It is a bit of a drive for you for certain. I pray there will be more talks. We shall see. LOL!
