  1. If only your blog friends could shoulder some of your burden, we would. Sending prayers for Courtney, of course, for your son, for your husband (and his interview) and you that God will guide you in your decision making.

  2. Praying that your meeting this afternoon will bring a beautiful and meaningful witness to the doctors you meet with. Praying the novena to St. Joseph with you. And always, asking St. Rebecca Irene to intercede for Courtney! (And if there was a patron saint of coffee, I'd being asking her help to keep you in coffee as well!) 😉

  3. I am praying for you today. Thank you for keeping us updated as to what is happening.

I was particularly interested to hear that the med students will be stopping by. I live in Oregon, where we have physician assisted suicide. I was the office manager for the state-wide campaign to overturn this practice when it first became law, but we lost. I wrote my graduate dissertation on the campaign and the ideas, emotions and beliefs behind it. I have some very strong opinions about end of life and I love how you are showing us one way that can look.

I love your story and I love Miss C because she proves every day that being a human being is more than just what society says it is. She lives outside the box, every day, and I love you for making that happen and I love her for, as you wrote, "doing what God chose her to do."

We are praying for Jerry too, and that the perfect job will open up for him. The King reigns!

  4. Thanks for the update. Still praying for you all, that is good news about the job interview, go St Joseph!!
    Gentle hugs to Courtney. x

  5. PS, my children just LOVED the video clips of Courtney laughing and snoring! They are praying for her and we have talked about her medical condition. They are young, 10 and 6, but children are so accepting of these difficult things. They love her, even though we only meet in cyberspace!

  6. I am curious as to why you put frankincense oil on her spine.

Well, I would understand if you gave medical marijuana a whirl, but understand if you don't. I don't even know how that would work.

I think the medical students learn how to treat individuals with dignity and grace from you and how you and your family treats Courtney.
